Weekend Daze

During the week is all about work but on the weekends we try to get out and try new things in Florida. We have a huge list of everything we want to do, just call us the weekend travelers ;). This weekend we didn't travel too far we just went into Fort Myers which is only about 25 minutes from us. Instead of going to the beach though we went to Smugglers Cove for some Putt Putt. If you are ever coming to Fort Myers I would definitely check this place out even if you don't have kids it would be a fun little date. The place was a little pricey and the service wasn't all that great but we all had a great time. When you first walk in you have the option to feed alligators, the kids thought that was so cool. There is a little pond in the middle filled with a ton of baby gators; don't worry you cannot get to them you have to feed them through a fence. 

The course itself is was set up pretty neat. The kids would hit the ball as fast as they could so they could hurry up and get to the next hole. I don't know how many times we had to say wait your turn because they would just start golfing with the family in front of us! Luckily it was a nice family and they didn't care, there little boy actually took up to Bryleigh lol. All we heard the rest of the time was "come here Bryleigh" and they actually lived right here in the cape. Thats the funny thing about living so close to a touristy area you never know if someone is from here or they are just on vacation.

 After being out in the hot sun for so long the kids wanted some ice cream so we stopped at menchies on the way home. Worst idea ever......ok maybe not the worst idea because we all had fun but the frozen yogurt was terrible it definitely doesn't compare to orange leaf or yagoot and I don't think we have either of those here in the Cape. 

Sunday Sunday was all about swimming. If you live in Florida you either need to have a pool or know someone who does because summers here are hot and you will always want to be in the water. I love the heat though, growing up in Ohio makes you appreciate the all year round hot weather down here.
