I have been trying to be more "minimalistic" lately. I don't remember the last time I bought makeup because honestly I don't really need anymore; as much as I want all of the new things that have been coming out with the holidays I just sit back and say "do I really need it". The old me would have screamed yes girl go get that gingerbread palette because it is soooooo cute! The new me on the other hand is saying you want that house right?! A new car maybe? I guess I am starting to get wiser with money and I have realized it isn't what you have its the time you spend with your family.
This is going to be a gift guide for the minimalistic person in your life. Well…...sort of.
One of my favorite things is my Boxycharm subscription. Since I do not buy makeup regularly anymore I rely on my boxycharm each month for new makeup. This might not be minimalistic to most but it is to me because it has been over a year since I have been in an Ulta!! So crazy for me because I used spend so much money in that store. Boxycharm is only $21 a month and comes with 5 full size makeup products which are always worth over $100 altogether.
I don't know about you but my car can be cleaned out one day and the next it looks like a tornado went right through it. This organizer would be a life saver in my car to keep it nice and organized. My kids like to take a new toy or book in the car every time we go somewhere and it would be great to just have a few things already in this bin to keep them occupied so they wouldn't have to bring anything else. This is a perfect gift for a mama so she can stay organized even in the car.
Restaurant Gift cards are always a good gift. I hate to spend money on food and Travis and I used to get gift cards to Olive Garden when we first got married and it was awesome. We could go out to dinner and not have to worry about the cost. Plus they are always nice to put up for date nights.
Candles are one my favorite things to give as gifts and to receive as gifts because every one loves a good candle. My favorites are the bath and body works candles but honestly the walmart $5 candles are just as good!
A cozy blanket is the perfect gift. Who doesn't like to cozy up with a soft blanket and read a book. Books are also great gifts depending on who you are gifting them to. My favorite blankets are those chunky knitted ones but they are a bit pricey.
Coffee can be so expensive and I don't really know anyone who doesn't like coffee (except my mom but she also doesn't like chocolate so……haha jk mom love you!) If you know someone who has a keurig or a nespresso machine by them a variety pack of the k cups or the nespresso pods. They are so expensive and I think anyone would be excited to receive those and have a little stock for awhile. You could place them in a cute personalized mug and voila! Cute thoughtful gift that they can use every day. Etsy has a ton of great options for cute personalized mugs.
One of my favorite things to give as gifts is pictures/picture frames or canvas pictures. I am obsessed with photos and taking pictures of everything and I love to have family photos hanging everywhere and everyone in my family is the same way. Pictures are always winners in my family.
