DIY Yarn Wall Art

I have been seeing these adorable yarn wall art pictures all over pinterest lately and I love the way they look. Our living room had a huge bare wall that I just had no idea what to do with so I thought a yarn wall hanging would look great! I didn't however want to spend $100 on one so I took to pinterest to look up a DIY.  I found this one from the foxy twine and this was my whole inspiration. I didn't do everything the same because I wanted it to match my living room and I couldn't find a twig like the one used in her post. I really like the way it looks with the branch but I'm happy with the dowel. This project was super inexpensive and even though it was very time consuming it was so worth it. This whole project was under $10!

This took me about 4 hours but if you have someone helping you cut the yarn you can get done a lot faster and I was also taking breaks to change a song or got distracted watching a youtube video. lol

Supplies needed to make wall hanging

Yarn in assorted colors and sizes
Dowel or branch
twine
scissors

I just wrapped the twine on the ends as a little rustic feel and also used that as the piece to hang it on the wall.
To cut the yarn I just cut several of the same length of ribbon and made sure to have really long pieces in the middle that way I could cut it into a v once I was finished.
I added the two braids for a little bit more boho vibes but you can totally leave that out.

I would make 100 of these and have them all over my house if they wouldn't look crazy! They are just so cute and add a boho vibe which I have been loving lately. Can someone just come and help me completely decorate my house #givemeallthebohovibes
